dino party

what little boy doesn't like dinosaurs? we had the chance to create a few items for ethan~o~saurus's 4th birthday party.

we made vanilla & chocolate cupcakes with buttercream icing.

supplied them with personalized water bottles cupcake toppers laminated loot bag tags that can be re~used as bag tags.....super cute!!!
the party was a huge hit. the hostess served dino chicken nuggets and the kids gobbled them down. there is nothing like a great party at home. as the kids played the old fashion games the parents relaxed and caught up with old friends.

Pinkalicious Fun!

the story Pinkalicious by Elizabeth Kann was the inspiration for this 5th birthday party.
we made loot bag tags that could be re-used on luggage etc., these ones only have the party guests name but you could also have a personalized thank you message.
we did a jelly bean guessing game, dressed up some otherwise plain paper cups and made pink sparkly sugar cookies. Everywhere you looked at this PINKALICIOUS party you saw pink! So much fun...
atop of our delish nut-free cupcakes are cupcake toppers, the party girls had never seen these before...they were a huge "wow"!
water bottle labels, a center piece designed to look like a page from the book and handmade loot bags that were of course filled with all things pink, were highlights from this amazing PINKALICIOUS party. We made a cupcake out of felt that was used to play "hot potato".

bringing back the home party...

there's something nostalgic about home parties, so why are they becoming extinct? having a home party doesn't mean that it won't be fun or stylish. in fact, most kids are just thrilled to be running around with a few of their bestest friends and playing a few simple games. when was the last time your kids played hot potato, musical chairs, freeze dance or pin the tail on the donkey? kids will be wiggling and giggling for hours, they will leave your house with stories to tell their parents...unlike when they leave an indoor playground...same ol' same old.
now for the stylish part, you need a theme then cordinate around that, color cordination is KEY to an attractive party. often the take-home gifts can become part of your decor too. speaking of take-home gifts, it may cost a bit more but give a gift that will not get tossed in the closest garbage...nobody wants more junk.
up next, some pinkalicious fun...
